Waste, garden cuttings, trees, noise and beaches. The department sits in the town hall; operations are run by the municipal company La Pública, which also runs the recycling centre.

This is not a page of Altea Town Council. alteamar.es is a private site and not a public authority: we do not accept applications or advise on individual cases. Only information from the competent office is binding: altea.es ↗. Like a directory, we gather here what is otherwise spread across many websites: an overview, not instructions.

Good to know

Garden cuttings do not go in the bin. Prunings, rubble and hazardous waste belong at the Ecoparque; fly-tipping is treated as an offence.

Open fires outdoors are largely prohibited; burning garden cuttings is allowed only with permission from the Generalitat and outside the high-risk season. Plots bordering woodland are subject to additional fire-prevention duties set by the Generalitat.

Trees on public land may be felled only with permission (bylaw, art. 22 e). Old and monumental trees are protected by regional law even on private land — ask first.

Fees and charges

Depositing waste at the Ecoparque is free for Altea households in domestic quantities; clarify commercial quantities with La Pública beforehand. The refuse charge itself is collected by Suma, and the rates are in the fiscal bylaws: altea.es → Ordenanzas fiscales.
